We do not dispatch plants, seed, or other products internationally.
We do not ship plants to Western Australia, Tasmania, or the Northern Territory, but we recommend a concierge service; we suggest Bob from Rare Plants: Quarantine Concierge Service Hub – Rareplants. We may send other items to these states.
Confirmed orders received by midnight Thursday are dispatched the following week; we will contact you if there is a delay.
We always dispatch plants and seeds early in the week, on Monday or Tuesday. Dispatch is advised by automated email.
Transit times depend on the delivery address. Most addresses can be serviced by Australia Post within 1-6 working days. Processing and dispatch may take up to 7 days, depending on the day of ordering (see above).
We aim to deliver orders within 4–14 days of payment.
Plants are dispatched early in the week following confirmation (payment) of the order. Plants ship by Express Post. We also send non-plant parts of orders separately by Ordinary Post. You should receive an automated tracking number via email when the order is dispatched.
We usually send plants in their pots. Some species may be sent as dormant roots or bare-rooted. We will specify otherwise; otherwise, we send plants in pots. We wrap each pot individually and secure it inside shipping cartons.
Australia Post calculates freight charges at checkout. Shipping boxes are based on a 100mm square. For the best value, order in lots of 4 x 50mm pots to make a 100mm square; this square usually weighs 400 g. Postage prices change at 500 g, 1kg, 3kg, and 5 kg; shipping is calculated at checkout.
Domestic seed (only) orders are forwarded by Ordinary Post. Freight and handling fees start at $7.70 / order and apply to 1-6 seed packets.
International seed orders are suspended due to a change in Australia Post requirements.
Interstate orders: it is up to the receiver to determine which seeds are declared weeds or environmental weeds in their particular state. No responsibility in this regard rests with All Rare Herbs. Fresh (undried) seed is sent at the receiver’s risk: no refunds or credits.
Shipping for larger books and other products starts at $14.50, except for certain publications, which include postage and handling.

Pre-Christmas seed and book orders also close Friday, 9/12/26, for shipping 9/12/26
We will still accept orders after 6/12/26, but shipping will be delayed until the new year.
Our office closes Friday, 20/12/26 and reopens Monday, 13/01/27.
