The Blueberry variety Sunshine Blue is particularly easy to grow. Excellent quality, large fruit. Very low chill requirements and self-pollinating. A tough and vigorous bush. It has grown well in both sandy soils and heavier loams. Suitable for most climates, with a low chill requirement for fruit production and a prolific bearing habit. This cultivar is tolerant of soils with a more neutral pH, making it much easier to cultivate than other types. Adaptable to most acid soils in an open position with full sun. Frost-resistant but drought-tender. Blueberry plant is a perennial woody shrub with a semi-deciduous habit. Grows to about 1.0m x 1.0m.
